Rafael Nadal Parera is a Spanish professional tennis player, professional since 2001, born June 3, 1986 in Manacor on the island of Majorca, in the Balearic Islands.

After being ranked No. 2 in the world for 160 consecutive weeks (a record), there is no World 1 of 18 August 2008 to 6 July 2009, dethroning Roger Federer for forty-six weeks. Nadal back on top of the ATP rankings, again at the expense of Federer, after his victory at Roland Garros in 2010 and held until July 3, 2011, when it dropped to second place, in turn dethroned by Novak Djokovic after the Wimbledon final in 2011. It is considered with Federer and Djokovic as one of three monsters of the tennis world, far ahead of other players circuit.
